HOW TO VOLUNTEER WITH NATION FORD BAND

All Nation Ford band volunteers are required to submit for a background check through the school district to serve our students at our facility or on any band trips or functions. Identification requirements to volunteer include:

  • A social security number
  • A driver’s license

Without these documents, an accurate background screening cannot be performed. Please note that volunteers who will be in the classroom (band room), helping with the band at football games, attending competitions, performances, field trips, or overnight trips must be approved prior to volunteering.

STEP 1: Fill out the background check request form.

We’re so excited you’re interested in volunteering with Nation Ford Band. The first step is expressing interest to Mr. Linkous or another band director and provide them with your full legal name and email address along with a few other details using the google form link below.

STEP 2: Notify a director in writing of your submission.

Once you have completed the form, please reach out to the band director via email to let them know you have submitted your name for approval (linkousr@fortmillschools.org). The director will then inform the proper administrator to process your application through the district’s third-party system, SimpliVerified.

STEP 3: Complete background check.

There’s nothing you need to complete for this step of the process. Nation Ford High School’s volunteer coordinator will submit the request on our behalf.

STEP 4: Approval Notification

Human Resources will review reports as they are returned and determine the approval status.
